John Carlins is the Senior Director of Clinical Science at Gate Neurosciences. He brings more than 30 years of experience across clinical operations, pharmacovigilance, and medical affairs in biotech companies from preclinical through Phase 3 development. Most recently, John served as the Senior Director of Clinical Operations at Helixmith where he was responsible for leading and managing their global clinical operations and pharmacovigilance activities. Prior to Helixmith, John has also previously worked in medical affairs and operational roles at Vital Therapies. His experience spans multiple therapeutic modalities across several therapeutic areas including neuropathy, neurodegeneration, hepatology, and rare disease. John received his BS in Nursing from University of Pittsburgh.
